About Us

Peak Sports is an outdoor, bike and consignment store situated in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley for over 50 years. Located in downtown Corvallis, we have easy access to backyard trails, destination peaks, ski resorts, wild rivers, and everything in between. Job Objective

The primary responsibilities include managing the outdoor sales team and day-to-day retail operations. Our ideal candidate is excited to help lead a values-driven organization in an active, sustainably-minded community, and interested in career growth. Starting pay rate is largely dependent upon the level of leadership experience, demonstrated proficiency of the selected candidate, and the amount of responsibility taken on.

Job Responsibility

•       Train, coach, and develop sales staff
•       Model and promote organizational values
•       Track, analyze, and report departmental performance metrics
•       Resolve customer service issues
•       Assist with rental and service operations
•       Manage continuing education opportunities for staff
•       Participate in leadership development and strategic planning
•       Set and meet departmental and individual goals
•       Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of products, services, and operations
•       Collaborate and coordinate with other departments
•       Maintain a high standard for hospitality and store presentation

Requirements

•       Growth mindset

•       Retail and/or customer service experience
•       Familiar with outdoor brands and equipment
•       Basic computer proficiency and a knowledge of Google Suite
•       Available to work 40-45 hours per week
•       Passion for adventure
