We seek more than just good salespeople. We are looking for new team players that will continue Covewater’s mission, maintain existing customer loyalty, create lasting relationships with new customers, and add to Covewater’s dynamic progression into the future.
We have a full time and part-time position open at our shop located in Santa Cruz.
Qualifications:
- Experience in standup paddling or other water sports such as surfing, foiling, windsurfing, kite surfing, outrigger canoeing etc.
- Retail background including direct sales with customers, answering clients phone calls and emails, and helping with visual merchandising
- Identify equipment and instruction that best suits the needs of the customers
- Troubleshooting various customer requests via email, phone, and in-person
- Inventory management and merchandising
- Working with POS (point-of-sale) systems
- Creative approach to store display and marketing
- Knowledge and experience in social media: advertising and creative content with photo and video a plus

Covewater Paddle Surf is the only Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) shop in Northern California. Created in Santa Cruz in 2010, Covewater is dedicated to various levels of paddlers, from novices to highly competitive stand up paddlers, surfers, foilers, and wing foilers.
Our mission is to share the passion for the sport so we seek an energetic, positive, and creative employee who is knowledgeable and can offer our customers support as they progress to more challenging levels out on the water.
