The Position: Territory Sales Rep

Run Sales Representative: Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska Territory

POSITION SUMMARY:

The focus of this position is to sell the Pearl Izumi Run and Triathlon footwear, apparel, and accessories into specialty athletic retail stores. Position must also provide outstanding customer service to these stores. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who brings solid experience in field sales, flexibility, outstanding customer service skills, and the desire to sell our product.

This position is the ‘face’ of Pearl Izumi to many of the Pearl Izumi retailers. As such, Pearl Izumi Field Sales Representatives are responsible for a high level of customer service as it relates to product sell in and sell through. Must also provide excellent communication between the retailers, Pearl Izumi, and Sales Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Ability to establish and develop strong relationships with retailers

·        Exceed seasonal territory sales goals

·        Sell multiple categories of technical outdoor athletic products to retailer and consumers

·        Represent Pearl Izumi at race expo’s, athletic events, festivals, and retail promotions

·        Provide outstanding customer service and follow-up for accounts

·        Provide product clinic demonstrations to retail customers and their staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        3+ years experience in field sales

·        Demonstrated knowledge and experience selling technical performance apparel and/or footwear in the outdoor industry

·        Ability to reside within the sales region (KS, MO, IA, NE) and travel

·        Ability to work weekends

·        This position demands a person who is able to work independently

·        Proven effectiveness in obtaining results

·        Solid experience in the Microsoft office environment using Outlook, Word, & Excel

·        Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

·        Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

·        Excellent presentation skills

·        Business planning and merchandising skills

·        B.A. or B.S degree or equivalent experience preferred
